Gratitude

November 2, 2016

Soon, the snows of winter will replace the grandeur of autumn. There will be hot chocolate and fireplaces aglow as we weather the frigid months to come. Thankfully, we have photographers who remind us that before long the leaves will return…that we can endure the cold until the robins signal the dawn of spring.

Memorable

November 2, 2016

Oh sure, I’d like you to think that this very young cowboy is skilled enough to catch this gorgeous rainbow. Truth is, a rookie like me has to be content with the seven inch brown trout caught yesterday on The South Platte River. He fought like the one pictured here and slipped merrily back into […]

More

November 2, 2016

There, in the deep blue water and the mountains reaching to touch the clouds, am I. It is enough to sit in wonder at the magnificence that surrounds me. The eagles and chipmunks know it too. How lucky we are to live in this world where the noise of the city and distractions of mobile […]

Intuition

November 2, 2016

Inventors are not the only ones for whom a light goes on and they create the future. All of us can tune in to the intuitive side that sees solutions…hears answers…and feels the prescence of something greater than ourselves. That’s why the wise take time to slow down. Belief

November 2, 2016

What do you see in the eyes of a child? Hope…trust…innocence…belief…wisdom? Yes, I think it is wisdom. The faithful know where it all originates from. It’s a wisdom born from generations of those who trust and hope that in this innocence there is reason to believe that we are not alone.

Listen

November 1, 2016

There are times in one’s life when staying put is not an option. A force within moves you to leave the past behind and forge a new and exciting future. For some, there’s a voice that whispers ‘jump…you can do this, for I am with you all the way.’ To put everything on the line […]

Levi

October 31, 2016

Joanna thought it wouldn’t hurt to try it once. Never did she think that it would become like a magnet. Now, every time she takes Levi for a walk, he’s like a laser guided missile in search of his favorite swing. They get some funny looks from neighbors but Joanna could care less. It’s become […]

The Legend of Bay Hill

October 28, 2016

The 17th. Hole at The Bay Hill Golf Club is a 238 yd. par three over water. Years ago, Arnold Palmer was playing with friends when his caddie nicknamed Tomcat suggested that a three iron was the appropriate club. Arnie played the three iron and it was heading right at the pin before it plopped […]

The Dream Team

October 27, 2016

The Dream Team celebrated a terrific season with dinner at Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar last night. What a great group of young men and this very young cowboy was mighty blessed to have the chance to eradicate anesthesia feet forever. You rock gang and Jack was the all time best captain!

‘I obviously don’t yet know the meaning of the word compulsive or narcissist. My mom says she hopes by the time I am of voting age that the choice will be better than a compulsive liar or an incurable narcissist. I did watch five minutes of the last debate bur spit up my applesauce.’

Unique

October 23, 2016

While we have the gift of life, it seems to me the only tragedy is to allow part of us to die – whether it is our spirit, our creativity or our glorious uniqueness. Gilda Radner
