Don finished packing, kissed Jill goodbye, and headed once again for the airport.

His small law firm had been acquired by a ‘major player’ based in Los Angeles. Since the papers were signed three months ago, he’d made a dozen flights and the strain of the travel was beginning to wear on him.

Don had missed four of Kyle’s hockey games and had to pass on an annual pheasant hunting trip that he had relished for twenty years.

In her heart, Jill felt that the move was the right one and encouraged Don to look on the bright side….that his short term sacrifices would be worth it….and that she was with him one hundred per cent. ‘There is a light at the end of this, honey……you just keep your eyes open and things will settle down soon.

As Don’s plane began its descent into LAX, he looked out the window and realized that Jill was right. The light dazzled him and he shook his head in wonder at the synchronicity of his wife’s words and the the view before him. He vowed to stay the course and felt that this was a sign that his decision was right.
