Brian was initially at a loss for words after Paris…Colorado Springs…San Bernardino, and Las Vegas. Last Monday, he rose early and the words flowed from his pen to the page.
I hope we’ll find an answer soon. It sure seems as if solutions are in short supply. It’s obvious that there is too much bickering and not enough communicating.
At thirteen, I can’t imagine who can untangle the mess but the guy with the unruly hair and constant criticism seems like a ticking timebomb. We need a uniter and not a divider.
You be the judge if we’ve come more together or grown more apart these last few years. I listened to my parents talk last night about JFK and Ronald Reagan and how they seem like such distant memories……how their love of country was felt around the world as disaster was averted in Cuba and the wall was dismantled in Berlin.
I hope that one day the world will be safe enough for my generation to want to marry and have kids….that leaders will come forward who honor our greatness before they apologize for our errors.
I hope….and like my parents, I pray.
Because our family still believes that this is the greatest country on earth and the only hope our planet has.
