A group of us young at heart folks got together tonight to listen to one of our favorite groups.
Ok…these fellas are minimally 12 years younger than we are and they play sweet oldies.
They are aptly named The Hip Replacements.
The concert was on the patio at The South Suburban Golf Course and quite a crowd was on hand to enjoy the evening.
I’m listening to the tunes while watching a teenager from Valor H.S. on the driving range. The kid really could use some lessons.
The range is right next to a large practice green with players pitching, chipping, and putting.
Next thing I see, the kid hooks a seven iron and the club is airborne flying end over end. At first, one might have thought he threw the club in anger.
Nope…it just slipped from his hands and conservatively flew 65 feet and barely missed clunking into the noggin of a fella working on his short game.
First lesson…when practicing, never station yourself near other people unless they are wearing protective headgear.
Even if lessons can’t solve the issue, there’s always disc golf.
