Like a balloon being pricked by a pin, The New England Patriots’ hopes of an undefeated season vanished two Sundays ago. They lost in overtime to The Denver Broncos and then followed that with another loss at home to The Philadelphia Eagles. With all respect to loyal Patriots fans, this provides a much needed humor relief from the rantings of the misguided fella whose ego is larger than the skyscrapers he builds. I mean, c’mon…..who needs to watch Comedy Central, or reruns of Lucy and The Honeymooners anymore? All you have to do is tune in to Coach Bill Belichick’s postgame press conferences. They are hilarious. The squirming and mummy-like responses to questions from the author of Spygate are must see TV. A rumor is circulating in Denver that there is a drive to send two dozen Kleenex boxes to Foxborough for Bill and his spoiled quarterback in case they lose again. Here’s hoping the AFC Championship Game is in Denver in January. Since we won two weeks ago, we’ll deflate the balls a bit so Tom feels like it’s a home game.
