Farewell, Colorado

By Mike Hall, April 17, 2019

Well, it’s official and no need hiding the fact that, after 34 plus years in Denver, Sally and I are house hunting.

It’s going to be difficult leaving Colorado…the place where Sally scored her first hole in one, and where cowboy roams the mountain streams stalking rainbows and brown trout.

I have heard that the golf and fishing in the Detroit, Michigan area is exceptional. Sure, we’ll need to get used to the humidity and The Lions are unlikely playoff contenders, but the time has come.

Praise The Lord as The Archdiocese of Detroit has formally declared that muskrat is now an accepted food source during The Lenten season.

No longer will we need to be closet consumers of this rare delicacy hoping our neighbors will never learn our secret.

With this announcement by church leaders, it’s expected that Muskrat Barbeque and Brew Pubs will become as popular as Mexican Restaurants in the next 12 months.

I close my eyes and imagine…aaaahhh….a 22 ounce Blue Moon beer and muskrat shishkabob.

Heaven on earth.
