The Love Seat
September 24, 2026
A very young man was driving into the South Suburban Golf Course parking lot yesterday when he noticed two women sitting on the bench at the 10th. tee box. He thought that they were waiting for their kids to finish the par three course because the ladies had no clubs with them. When the youngster […]

Rick Barry is a Hall of Fame basketball player and one of the purest free throw shooters in history making 90% during his career. We had season tickets in the third row in 1975 in Kansas City. I watched Barry in warmups and he’ looked peeved whenever his ball touched the rim. Wilt Chamberlain scored […]
A Glimpse of God

“It was a tough day,” she wrote. I imagined her collapsing in an easy chair after a day that was anything but easy. Head pounding, feet aching… heart breaking, for those in her care. Some on the road to recovery and others unable to turn the corner to a brighter day. How do you rise […]

It seems that great singers and musicians can play with their eyes closed. It’s pretty confounding to us regular folks. Tap arrow to view.
Junk yard dogs
September 23, 2026
The Colorado Rockies lost their 100th game yesterday for the 4th straight season. Here’s hoping that next year is a turnaround year for them as they are a scrappy, never give up, bunch of junk yard dogs who are fun to watch. May they rise from the depths to the delight of their fans.

Hecticity
September 22, 2026
Life today is hectic – ask anyone. There is hardly enough time to catch our breath before having to move to the next thing. Everyone is busy….multi-tasking is the new normal as we try to juggle five balls instead of three…..so busy are we that….unlike the British…..we leave no time for tea. There seems to […]

In your darkest hour….when loneliness and despair overtake you…I’ll be there In your darkest hour….as the fear and doubt overwhelm you….I will be there I am The Light shining in your soul….and the hope living in your heart I am the dream you cling to when your life seems torn apart I am the […]

They seemed to begin in the fifth grade. The cliques where kids were ostracized for reasons yet unknown. I guess if you queried them the cool kids would cite one reason or another that they shunned her. Maybe it was because she was more attractive……or smart…..or that the best looking boys were always walking her […]

I’ve seen/listened to Tommy Emmanuel and Billy Strings as they display their brilliance on guitar. One would have to believe they’d approve of this young man. Tap on arrow to see/hear.
If I Could
September 22, 2026
I’d like to look into your eyes and tell you that this nightmare will vanish in the morning or take you on an ocean cruise……in hopes that cancer couldn’t follow If I could, I would take you to the happy, carefree places of your youth…. to the hideouts where sunshine and laughter ruled the […]
Sweet Caroline
September 22, 2026
Neal Diamond led a sing a long in Fenway Park to his classic hit Sweet Caroline. Fans were recovering after The Boston Marathon bombing and the singer created a much needed healing salve to their wounds. I was coaching The Kent Denver Varsity 2 Tennis team years ago when their choice of music on the […]
Larry Legend
September 22, 2026
On March 12, 1985, Larry Legend was unstoppable in scoring 60 points vs. The Atlanta Hawks. It’s actually funny to watch as he makes it look so easy. Shot after shot from every position on the court… and have a look at the Atlanta players on the bench who, it is reported, were fined $3,000 […]
