When Sally was growing up in Dayton, Ohio, her family had a dog named Pugsy. When I showed her this picture, she said it looked just like him. I mentioned that he seems to look a bit sad. She said, ‘No, he was really the happiest of pets and had this infectious energy that the whole family loved!’
Often in tennis we find players who exude the same positive vibe every time we see them. There are also quite a number of people we see whose light does not shine through their eyes. We must remember that the light is still there……and maybe it’s up to us to draw it out of them.
