Perspective

A very young cowboy was driving along the South Platte River near Deckers on Tuesday.

I spotted a fella who wore a sun shielding face muff like mine.

He was casting from the edge of the road to the stream below which was at least an 8 foot drop.

His casting was that of a very seasoned angler.

The man seemed to be engrossed in the action of his fly on the water…so captivated by it and the possibility of a strike that it mattered not that he was in a wheelchair.

Guess I’ll think twice when my line gets snarled up next time.
