Preston is one of the most cheerful kids ever.
He wakes up each day with this boundless energy to explore everything in sight. When this picture was taken, he had just finished breakfast and was both amused and fascinated by two roly poly’s leisurely making their way across his driveway.
The temper that seems to get the best of his older brother Nathan never seems to disrupt his day. Preston’s world consists of cartoons, afternoon naps, and wrestling with dad after his taxing days at work. Jeff (his dad) seems a bit serious……and a bit distracted when he gets home.
It’s as if he’s in two places at once. He’s cavorting on the carpet with Preston but his smile seems a bit forced…..as if he left a project unfinished at work and can’t wait to return tomorrow to ‘get er done.’
The toddler notices more than you think. He wishes his dad could lighten up more and leave the worries of work at work.
Until then, he’s content with his roly poly’s and cartoons. It’s a pretty great life when you’re young and as happy as can be.
