Wise is the one who resists initiating a kerfuffle. Granted, it’s a seldom used word but it is beginning to be used more often these days. It means to cause unnecessary turmoil, confusion, or foolish discord. Most people know a person or two who carry the word around with them like a child with a blanket. They often cling to the blanket but are left out in the cold.
