It was 9:45 p.m. and we had two cars in front of us in the drive thru at Steak and Shake.
We had just ordered a small shake and a small order of fries. The first car’s order was handed to them at the five minute mark. We’re thinking ok…there’s one fella in the car ahead of us so we’re oughta there in ten more minutes max. His order of two shakes took ten more minutes and this cowboy remembered that his last visit had been just as time consuming. So…ten minutes later our order was handed to us. That’s 25 minutes for three cars with very small orders. A lesson is embedded here for sure. Whenever you go to Steak & Shake, take your favorite book as you’ll get at least a chapter read. The person who put the All Nighter sign together really knew what they were doing.
