Carly said that Wellington Lake was home to some very large trout. We didn’t catch any lunkers but this sixteen inch rainbow sure put up a fight. We even saw a bald eagle dive into the lake and snag a fish. Poor thing….never knew what hit him. This young cowboy has lived here since 1965 and had never even heard of this beautiful lake. Rumor has it if you time it just right when the ice comes off in the spring, you can catch a five to ten pounder. See ya in April.
