Close call

By Mike Hall, August 15, 2016

A very skilled fisherman was wading in the South Platte River near Deckers last weekend. A rustling in the brush nearby startled the youngster. Moments later it proved to be a wise decision to throw the large rainbow in my creel downstream. The bear was on it like a Von Miller sack as I scampered out of the stream and back to the car. It’s a good thing I started that Orange Theory program for explosive movement last month. The young cowboy has never felt quicker.
