Dr. Jim Dixon was the founding and lead pastor at Cherry Hills Community Church in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
This morning, I listened to his final sermon that is archived online with all of his terrific messages shared over the years.
It was interesting to learn that he had a great fear of public speaking…that his heart beat accelerated almost uncontrollably as he came onstage to speak. This is a fella who, by all appearances, was born to be a public speaker.
I’ve listened to a number of ‘name’ pastors and not one compares to the late Dr. Dixon. He truly had a special gift and is missed greatly long after his passing.
He seemed to be a simple man who astoundingly would memorize complete sections of The Bible and share without notes on Sundays. As he said in his last sermon…
’At least, I said yes to God.’
