I love going to Panera Bread to pick up a tasty lunch or quick dinner.
Another reason is that I can bring a smile to people’s faces.
Tonight, I offered to go get some chicken noodle soup for Sally who wasn’t feeling 100 percent.
When the nice young girl took my order, she asked what my name was.
‘Cowboy Bob’, I smiled and said…’don’t ya get tired of hearing, Dave, or Rick, or Phil. She smiled back and said ‘yes, I love it!’
That’s one smile but CB knew there’d be more because when your order is ready, the food prep person yells out your name as if she has a megaphone.
‘Cowboy Bob!’
All three of the food prep kids were smiling as well as the three other people waiting for their takeout orders.
Pretty cool…7 smiles in under 10 minutes.
Gotta love Panera Bread Company.
