She is one of South Carolina’s most treasured inhabitants. Her home is on a street called Bohicket in St. John’s Island. The Angel Oak Tree toweres sixty-five above the ground and provides 17,500 square feet of shade. The circumference of the trunk measures seventeen and a half feet. The tree is estimated to be fifteen hundred years old. It is a ‘must see’ if you visit South Carolina. Standing beneath this behemoth of a tree makes one appreciate The Creator of something so amazing. It also makes a person consider that He is capable of creating great things in people who come in search of rest in Him.
