The end of a special era

Racquet World at Inverness opened in 1984 and was, arguably, the premier tennis club in Colorado.

A much older cowboy took a drive by the club today upon hearing the news that it would be closing at the end of August.

Kudos to Mr. Bob Gaiser who was the designer, owner, and driving force that built such a terrific facility.

Surely, there are hundreds of players and many tennis professionals who have fond memories of playing and coaching at Inverness.

Mr. Gaiser passed away in 2017 and we hope he’ll one day be inducted into The Colorado Tennis Hall of Fame for his contributions in growing tennis in southeast Denver.
