Ellen had been sidelined for over a month with feisty neck pain. Initially, it was a delight to see her running again and ripping her two handed backhand like before. Her coach and playing partners were very impressed. What we didn’t expect….or appreciate, was when she’d clap her racquet and say ‘woo hoo’ after winning shots. I mean c’mon Ellen….did your time off erase your memory of tennis etiquette? She also laughed like a kid when she hit the very young coach in the head with a forehand. We hope Ellen is back next week with an apology and a respect for the feelings of others on the court.
