My wife has it down pat.
I usually call her from Sedalia on my return trip from fishing for the finicky trout on The South Platte near Deckers.
‘How many deer did you see…and how many bald eagles?’
‘Did ya see any wild turkeys or elk today, honey?’
Finally, she will ask how many fish I caught.
She knows the answer before asking…that the number does not require a fancy scoring tool…that the fingers on one hand are sufficient.
