Thirty years ago, Pastor Jim Dixon of Cherry Hills Community Church gave an Easter message to a large crowd at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheater.
I’ve recently discovered that his sermons from 1993-2013 are archived online and what a blessing to hear the great preacher once again.
In his Easter sermon so long ago, he mentioned that, after the age of thirty, humans lose 100,000 brain cells every day.
I chose not to calculate the millions lost since passing 30 forty three years ago.
Instead, the statistic reminded my of a classic Jackson Browne song…Running on Empty.
