Connor’s dad was promoted last year to national sales director for a large pharmaceutical company based in Dallas. Dan’s salary more than doubled but it seemed he spent an increasing amount of time in airports and hotels. He’d call most evenings but Connor still missed spending time with him. The work was exciting and Dan’s sales team was becoming a well oiled machine. Amy read to their son every night before bed and one night the youngster said,’mom, do you know when I’ll get my dad back.’ She said Dan would be back, as usual, on Friday night. Connor sighed and said, ‘no mom, I mean really back.’
