It was not uncommon for Ray to work sixty hour weeks.
Grace nearly had to beg him to take a few days off a year to spend at the family’s cabin near Lake Granby.
The workload and constant stress were taking their toll …his fuse had become very short.
In 2014, things changed.
Their grandson Chase was born and over time Ray began spending more and more time with the toddler.
Oh, he still worked a lot but no longer on weekends and his countenance was different.
He laughed more…and a playful side emerged that Grace hadn’t seen since they were dating.
The couple even started attending church on Sundays which was unheard of in the past twenty five years.
Ray drew ever closer to his daughter Heather and could actually enjoy a round of golf with son in law David.
God works in marvelous ways and Chase just caught his first rainbow with grandpa at the beaver pond near Granby.
