Hope

By Mike Hall, March 21, 2022

A recent March snowstorm deposited up to six inches of snow in Denver.

It leveled the nine foot tall native grasses in our front yard. A person unfamiliar with these grasses might conclude that they are ruined, down for the count, and never to rise again.  Shucks, they were toppled from nine feet high to nearly nothing overnight.

But check out this picture…this resurrection to life is dramatic to be sure.

I’m reminded that we too, can appear to be down for the count and toppled to our knees so quickly.

Next month, we celebrate a resurrection of far greater importance than this one.

It is the bedrock of hope for millions around the world who believe that the tomb was indeed empty…that The Occupant was seen by over 500 hundred people after His resurrection…ate with them and inspired them that death is not the end of it all.

Hallelujah!

And thank You for the simple reminder of the rising grasses.
