Fresh eyes
A much younger man wrote a morsel more than a decade ago about
seeing the world with fresh eyes…about kids and adults who possess
a look of optimism that lights up a room.
You undoubtedly have met people like this…ones with shining faces and
eyes seemingly as bright as Christmas tree lights.
They draw us in…make us wonder why they seem to be unburdened by
the baggage we’ve shouldered for so many years.
Was it just good luck, or maybe a special angel that has equipped them
with this ‘life is great’ countenance?
Whatever it is, may they, with their fresh eyes, teach us not to
take things so seriously…to revel in the gifts we’ve been given…
and to bring light to those we meet.
