A friend of mine is in the final third of his life. In the past few months, he has consulted with Father Time who has provided sage advice. When golf became unappealing, the wise man said, ‘why don’t you write more….you know it’s something you love.’ When sloshing through streams for seven hours and driving for four more produced not a single fish, the sage whispered to the aging man…’is it really worth the struggle…you know you love taking photographs, why don’t you devote your time to that?’ In essence, whether you’re in the final third or not, do the things that bring you the most joy and discard the ones where the thrill is gone. Thank you, Father Time.
