A good friend has been experiencing a bout of the holiday blues.

He had an appointment with a psychiatrist last week and believes the advice offered was quite unique.

  1.   Immediately upon rising, view the online video of Cockatoo Loves Elvis.
  2.   Shower and take the dog on a 45 minute walk breathily deeply through the nose.
  3.   Have a light, nutritious breakfast.
  4.   Close the blinds, raise the volume on the iPad, and dance with no inhibition to Wagon Wheel by Darius Rucker.
  5.   Read three short chapters of Faith Still Moves Mountains by Harris Faulkner.
  6.   In your journal, describe three things you are grateful for and three lessons learned from Harris’ book.
  7.   Call a friend whose facing a challenge and lend your spirit to them.
  8.   View the online segment of The Honeymooners entitled The Hucklebuck.
  9.    Devote at least 20 minutes to wrestling with the dog.
  10.    Load your phone with Bill Douglas songs…Deep Peace, The Hills of Glencar, My Love is like a red , red rose,  Lake Isle of     Innisfree, I shall not live in vain, and Shenandoah.  Breathe deeply and listen via earphones while relaxing in your favorite recliner.

He was offered a money back guarantee if, after following this routine for 10 days, his blue mood didn’t lift and he was not a much improved dancer.
