Chris Fowler was commenting on the start of men’s singles final at Wimbledon today.
Kevin Anderson and Novak Djokovic were coming off of marathon matches in the semifinals and fans were wondering if they could summon their ‘A’ games for the final.
Fowler noted that Anderson made six unforced errors in the first two games and that ‘Djokovic was not in a giving mood.’
Another way to view it is that Novak was being stingy….unwilling to donate free points.
I guess tennis players should give freely to Goodwill and other notable causes…but beware if your donations are happening too often in your matches.
