Forty-three year old Olympic Champion Amy Van Dyken was featured in The Denver Post this week. In June of 2014, she had an ATV accident in Arizona where she severed her spinal cord. Her husband ( former Bronco punter Tom Rouen) found her not breathing and helped save her life. Amy now travels the country giving speeches about the twists and turns that led her to this point in her life.

When asked about her day to day life, she said,

‘I know it sounds weird but I’m loving life. I make sure that each day I try to get everything out of it that I can. I figure there’s a reason I made it out of all these things. I do have my moments, of course. It’s not all rainbows and unicorns. But for me it’s not an option to have a bad attitude.’
