Change

A doubles team has decided to switch from the norm and play one and a half back when receiving. Can you think of reasons why they’ve made this adjustment? Here are some possible reasons.

The server has a dominating serve and is holding serve too easily.

The server’s partner is creating havoc with poaches and put away volleys.

The receiver’s return is erratic or missing in action.

The receiver possesses a good lob return of serve.

The team was bageled in the first set and a wise coach told them to always change a losing game.
