The restaurant business is exceedingly competitive.
One restaurant in southeast Denver (Urban Egg) evidently doesn’t believe the above statement.
Sally ordered iced coffee today and uttered that famous McEnroe line…‘ you cannot be serious!’, when the bill arrived.
The waitress tried to justify this lack of competitive consciousness indicating that $6.99 for a cup of coffee with ice was appropriate and no big deal.
My wife and her friends will not be making another visit to Urban Egg. Readers of this blog may only drink regular coffee and be tolerant of less than energetic service but I doubt it.
Competitive consciousness…it’s a must these days as people have so many options and will likely tell 6 friends in the next month of their experience.
