In the far distant past, a very young cowboy had just moved in to Aspen Hall at Mesa College in Grand Junction. My roommate was a defensive back named John Maurer.
One day, there was a knock on our door and a couple of his newfound football buddies entered the room.
I had never heard of anabolic steroids then but let’s just say that this picture sparked the memory of how humongous these two obvious users were.
Thankfully, none of the hoopsters or baseball players had yet discovered performance enhancing drugs.
