Gratitude

The word ‘Amen.’

Many have heard and said it in church at the conclusion of a prayer.

In some Presbyterian churches, the preacher will say…’And all of God’s people said’ and the congregation responds with ‘amen.’

The first definition found online is…’An exclamation uttered at the end of a prayer or hymn, meaning ‘so be it.’.

So be it. Time to accept it. Time to realize that you are, although beset with challenges, indeed blessed.

Here’s a very young cowboy’s take on it.

If it’s about acceptance in times of trouble…why not develop the habit of saying the word as difficulties stream into your day?

But, put a twist to it for your own benefit.

Use this creative version of amen….’Ahhhhmen.’

Let the Ahhhh come from deep with in you and see if you don’t sense a deep well of gratitude residing inside.

What the heck…it can’t hurt to try it.
