Hair on fire

A high percentage of players are visual learners. Granted, this is the former  #1 player in the world who covers the court like a blanket. Maybe you can mimic Andy’s dash to net the next time you play. Truly, he’s moving forward like his hair is on fire.

The byproducts are that it’s the way the game is meant to be played…all out…and, he’s likely to be playing more offensive volleys from above the height of the net.

Any slower to the net, and he’d be sure to be forced to handle more difficult low volleys or defensive half volleys.

Just make sure you make slit step as your opponent is contacting the ball to be on balance.
