One person

By Mike Hall, November 7, 2016

Janey can’t seem to escape the sadness that has enveloped her like a blanket. She lets the phone ring not caring who is calling and rarely goes outside. She and Tom were a couple for two years when he abruptly broke up with her. Janey’s friends have been unable to break through the wall she’s constructed and are worried about their friend. At night, she wonders if she’s ever going to snap out of this. No appetite…no energy…and life has become a succession of days with no fun. She feels that not a soul could possibly understand the anguish that has gripped her like a glove. Is there a Janey in your life…one who won’t pick up the phone or open the door? Be persistent as you might just be the one person to bring the light back to her life…the one person she silently hopes will have the key to leave this sadness behind.
