We have seen a lot of homeless people in Boston these past few days.
The woman last night near the subway entrance with her eyes closed appeared to be struggling with drugs.
It rained all day yesterday and an ex- marine lay sleeping on a covered bench at a bus stop to avoid getting soaked.
It occurred to me that there are plenty of people who cross our path each day that could use a word of encouragement or just a smile….plenty of kids who feel hopeless or left out that could be helped by someone willing to listen to their story.
Who knows, maybe you….or me, could help them turn the page and begin a new chapter that would make all the difference.
