Choices

The curmudgeonly bird chose a countenance that was unmistakable. ‘Don’t mess with me, I am having a bad feather day there’s no getting around it.’ For hours he remained like a mummy looking but not seeing. Eventually, he heard the songs of other birds…saw them flying to and fro without a care in the world. He wondered if the choice to be a curmudgeon was really one to reconsider.
