There is a woman who lives a lob wedge beyond the fourteenth green at South Suburban Golf Course in Denver. This green is the most diabolical green in Colorado and the scene of more three putts than a putting contest for blind golfers. Before he became famous, Dr. Phil McGraw had a booth adjacent to the green to counsel frustrated players who required immediate help. Excuse me for digressing, but the woman above has earned the title of The Duck Whisperer. She creates a daily scene like this picture because she feeds bread to the ducks nearby. They paddle furiously like these so they’re not left out. Once they exit the lake, there is a constant stream of them making the forty yard trek to her back fence. Often golfers must wait to putt as they traipse across the green for their daily snack. It is all rather amusing and, for some, helps golfers forget that this green just led to another double bogey.
