The Blessing Bell

A great friend named Eileen gifted me with The Blessing Bell.

It reminds me to say ‘thank you’ for the blessings of my family

and for the good fortune of still being able to teach tennis as the years

have crept by…when most of my contemporaries have long ago

retired to sunsets on the beach in Thailand or playing golf four days

a week.

Yes indeed, thanks for the chance to teach indoors in the Arizona-like heat

and the bitter cold of January.

Thanks for giving me the enthusiasm to love seeing new players get hooked

on tennis and for the resurrection of mikesmorsels.com in hopes of

delivering a bit of hope in these tumultuous times.

I’ll ring the bell as long as I have breath.
