I’m not sure if you can identify this object because it’s rather small.
It is one of those plastic, disposable floss units and I see them regularly in parking lots like King Soopers, 24 Hour Fitness, Panera Bread, and Red Robin.
In speaking with my wife, she encouraged me to go easy on our fellow humans…as she stated it, ‘name one person you know who would floss their teeth and then intentionally drop it in a parking lot’.
She got me thinking that it’s true…that no human with an ounce of class would do such a thing.
The answer actually came to me in the middle of the night.
It must be those big, noisy blackbirds that seem to be everywhere overhead. They surely don’t floss while flying as that would be impossible. They must use the flossing tool while perched in a tree and then fly away to deposit them in their favorite parking lot or yard.
Please don’t try to tell me that blackbirds don’t have teeth or the need to clean them until you’ve caught one and examined it.
For now, I’ll continue wearing protective head gear on trips to the gym or grocery store.
