John and his wife Michelle are new to tennis and doing quite well.
Michelle shared with me a few weeks ago that she, like me, leans to the
right politically.
John had a private lesson last week and I assumed he was in the same political
camp as his wife. As we left the court, I asked John what he thought would
happen in Ukraine.
To my surprise, he said that he didn’t care a whit about Ukraine. He said
that he decided a few years ago not to get all riled up about politics and the
fools in Washington.
“I just try to be the best husband and father I can be.’
Later that night, I chose not to watch Fox News or listen to Hannity
the next day. It was a welcome respite from the contentious commentary
that helps make this The Divided States of America currently.
It’s been a week now and the blues news is sliding into the background.
Thanks John. I think we’d agree that the US hasn’t seen a unifying President
since JFK and there’s really not another one on the horizon.
You’re right…why get all frazzled when other priorities are sooo much
