Hannah is six years old and misses her dad.
His Ft. Carson unit was called to duty two months ago. Master Sergeant Rick Dailey is training the military police in Afghanistan and hopes to return by Christmas. Hannah sits quietly on the window seat and wishes he’d be back next week for Christmas.
That would be the best present ever.
Gail (her mother) tries to keep her involved in gymnastics and soccer and snapped this photo on Tuesday. She thought about e-mailing it to Rick but opted instead for the one of Hannah with arms raised after scoring the winning goal last Saturday.
A picture is worth a thousand words and this one might have been too much for even a Master Sergeant to bear.
