Not ready for prime time
I received an invitation from a well known company to tryout for a commercial they plan to film in Denver.
They indicated that no speaking was required and that those accepted would have to be good dancers.
Being quite a good dancer, I applied online and waited anxiously to hear as they pay $200.00 for only ninety minutes of dancing.
A week later, my hopes were dashed when a rather curt reply noted…’we will not be using you in our commercial as we checked with your wife who insists that you have absolutely no rhythm despite attending The Arthur Murray dance lessons for six weeks in the eighth grade.”
** I find it shocking that my picture dancing with Maureen Gavin in my Arthur Murray days didn’t carry any weight with the selection committee.
